At least four people have been killed after Tropical Storm Debby makes landfall in Florida as a hurricane. It's since been downgraded back to a tropical storm. The storm is now slamming parts of Georgia and South Carolina where they could see historic rainfall.

During a Monday afternoon press briefing, Governor Ron DeSantis attributed four fatalities in Florida to the storm. The deaths include two individuals who perished in a vehicular accident in Dixie County, a truck driver who lost his life in a collision in Hillsborough County, and a child whose life was claimed by a tree falling on a residence in Levy County.
