Arizona weather forecast: Warmer weather on the way for the Valley
PHOENIX - Beautiful weather lasts through the week. Temperatures will run near-average on Thursday with highs in the middle to upper 60s across the Valley. It will be breezy in Northern Arizona and most of the state will see passing clouds overhead all day.
A few rounds of isolated rain/snow showers are possible along the far northern edge of the state. Most of Arizona, however, will remain dry through the weekend.
Temperatures warm to the upper 60s on Friday and low 70s on Saturday. By Sunday, the mid-70s are expected in Phoenix. It will be partly sunny Friday morning, turning more sunny later in the day through the weekend. Again, Northern Arizona will be breezy into the weekend.
Temperatures atop the San Francisco Peaks and White Mountains will be in the 30s all weekend-- good news for snow-making efforts at Snowbowl and Sunrise.
Into next week, warmer conditions will prevail with highs in the low to middle 70s all week long.
New Year's Eve will hit a high of around 73 degrees with the temperature falling to the low 50s around midnight. The new year will begin above average with highs again in the middle 70s.
Dry conditions are likely to start 2025.
