Arizona weather forecast: Above normal temps stick around days before Christmas

We're still feeling above normal temps as Christmas is just three days away.

The morning low at Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport was 49 degrees on Dec. 22, which the National Weather Service says is five degrees above normal.

The high is expected to be around 76 on Sunday.

"Well above normal temperatures continue with forecast highs topping out in the mid to upper 70s across the lower deserts for this afternoon. Similar readings are expected through Tuesday before cooler temperatures arrive for Christmas Day," NWS said.

In the High Country, NWS says a Christmas Day storm is likely.

"Let's go back to talking about warmth, because that ain't done! Some more warmth for you Monday and Tuesday, then we'll do the Christmas storm thing, enjoy!" forecasters said.
