Buckeye Fire helps woman's cat as she flees from CA fires

Buckeye Fire comes to the rescue of a cat owner as she was fleeing the California wildfires and driving through Arizona. The woman's home and all of her possessions destroyed in the Eaton Fire. As she was on her way to Texas to be with family, she got a flat. DPS helped her put on a spare tire, but her cat got spooked and crawled behind the steering column under the dash to hide. She then went to Discount Tire to buy a new tire, and that's when Buckeye Fire stepped in to help.

Suspected California carjacker arrested in Buckeye

A man accused of being involved in a carjacking in California was arrested by officers who were conducting a stolen vehicle investigation near Miller Road and Pima Street, police said.
