The head of the Federal Reserve has finally said something that many economists have been waiting for, as Jerome Powell said 'the time has come' to lower the interest rate from its current two-decade high. It has been more than two years since the Fed began raising interest rates in an effort to bring down inflation. The rate of inflation currently stands at just below two percent.
