Sky Harbor, NWS keeping flights safe during monsoon

The start of the monsoon is just days away, so we're getting an inside look to see how Sky Harbor Airport is preparing for the storm season. Monsoon storms hit hard and they hit fast, so communication is key. The National Weather Service says during the monsoon, they send daily weather briefings to the airport so they can prepare in advance for any severe weather. Once they get word of a storm, the airport tracks it as it comes in and sends out alerts to their crews to secure the runways.
