Family of AZ Marine killed in Mexico reacts to arrests

We're hearing from the family of a Tucson Marine who was murdered while on his way to Rocky Point. Authorities say two suspects were arrested for the murder of 31-year-old Nicholas Quets, who was shot along a Mexican highway on Oct. 18.

Arrests made in Arizona Marine's murder

Two men have been arrested in the death of Nicholas Quets, a Tucson Marine who was killed in Mexico while driving to Rocky Point. The Sonoran Attorney General says the arrests were made over the weekend. Police say Quets was driving on the Caborca-Altar Highway to see friends when a vehicle drove up and people inside began shooting. The suspects were not identified.

Street takeovers a growing concern in Tucson

Tucson Police officials say over the weekend, the southern Arizona city saw at least four street takeovers, which includes sideshow burnouts as well as street racing. Police say one man was seriously hurt after being shot at a takeover, and in another event, a car was set on fire.

Kitt Peak National Observatory is reopening

Home to one of the largest telescopes in the world, Kitt Peak National Observatory, just west of Tucson, is reopening to the public after a lengthy closure due to COVID and a wildfire. FOX 10's Brian Webb has more.
