Police: Suspect in custody following SWAT situation in Gilbert

GILBERT, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say a suspect is in custody following a SWAT situation at a Gilbert home.

The Chandler Police Department says the suspect was believed to have committed armed robberies of two Circle K convenience stores overnight on Wednesday.

Investigators say they tracked the suspect to a home near Ray and Higley Roads and obtained a search warrant, however, the suspect refused to come out of the house.

A SWAT team was called in to get the suspect out of the home and the situation was resolved with no injuries.
