Medical Examiner report on Jesse Wilson released
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled that Jesse Wilson died from an undetermined cause and manner.
Wilson, who was 10 at the time of his disappearance, went missing in July 2016. In March 2018, authorities identified human remains found in a Buckeye field as those of Wilson.
According to documents released by the Medical Examiner's office, Wilson may have been dead for at least eight months prior to the recovery of his remains, and that the remains were identified as those of Wilson, following a DNA analysis.
Based on dental examination, the Medical Examiner's Office estimated that Wilson was 10.5 years old, plus or minus nine months, at the time of his death.
Meanwhile, an anthropology report released by the Medical Examiner's Officer shows that there is a pattern of damage to the recovered elements that happened relatively early in the postmortem interval.
The Medical Examiner's Office classified the cause and manner of death as undetermined, due to Wilson's unknown circumstances of death, along with findings from a postmortem examination and investigative information received by the office.
