Man killed, woman injured in overnight shooting

PHOENIX - A man is dead and a woman injured after a shooting in west Phoenix overnight.

Phoenix Police were called out to the Terrace Park apartments in the area of 83rd Avenue and Indian School at about 10:30 Saturday night. Once on scene, officers found two victims in their twenties -- a man and a woman -- who had both been shot. Both were both rushed to the hospital.

Police say the man has died as a result of his injuries. He has been identified as 23-year-old Brett Berholtz. A 22-year-old woman is listed in stable condition and police say she is expected to survive the shooting.
