FBI captures wanted fugitive thought to be in Phoenix or Rocky Point

A wanted fugitive who was thought to be hiding out in Rocky Point or Phoenix has been captured in Mexico, the FBI said.

David Young, 43, was wanted after being indicted on drug charges.

"David D. Young remains at large after Operation Ghost Busted took place on January 11, 2023, across Southeast Georgia. Young is charged with drug trafficking conspiracy tied to the Ghost Face Gangsters criminal street gang," the FBI said.

Fugitive with AZ ties captured in Mexico

A wanted fugitive who was thought to be hiding out in Rocky Point or Phoenix has been captured in Mexico, the FBI said.

In December 2022, a federal arrest warrant was issued after he was charged with "conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance."

The FBI said they believed Young had ties to Phoenix, and he may have been in Arizona.

On March 11, authorities said Young was taken into custody in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

David Young
