2 men dead following shooting at Phoenix home: PD

Police say two men are dead after a dispute led to a shooting inside a Phoenix home.

The shooting happened at around 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 22 in a residential neighborhood near 43rd Avenue and Peoria

When officers arrived at the scene, officials say they found 61-year-old Martin Lewis with a gunshot wound.

"This man was extracted by officers and taken to the Fire Department who were staging nearby," police said. "The man did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at this location."

2 men found dead inside Phoenix home

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at a home near 43rd Avenue and Peoria. When officers arrived, they found one man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead. A second man was found "with obvious signs of trauma." That man also died at the scene.

The second victim, 86-year-old Richard Hall, was found as officers searched the home. Hall was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was also pronounced dead at the scene.

"Preliminary information revealed while at the home, the two men were involved in a dispute that resulted in the men to exchange gunfire," police said. "Both men suffered gunshot wounds during this exchange."

An investigation remains ongoing.
