Excessive Heat Warning to be issued on Thursday and Friday for Phoenix
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - National Weather Service officials announced Tuesday that an Excessive Heat Warning will be issued Thursday and Friday for the lower deserts of Southeastern California and Southern Arizona, including Phoenix.
NWS announced the decision Tuesday afternoon, via a Facebook post.
According to NWS officials, highs are expected to range from 109°F (42.78°C) to 114°F (45.56°C), and if people plan to be outside during the afternoon hours, they should drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks.
NWS officials also said people should try to schedule activities for early morning or after sunset.
