54 West Nile deaths reported this year in Maricopa County

Health officials say 54 deaths caused by the West Nile virus have been reported so far this year in Maricopa County. Last year, only one death was reported. People should remove standing water from around their home, wear long sleeves, and apply mosquito repellent, especially if outdoors around dawk or dusk.
