Carwash fundraiser held for an accidental shooting victim in Peoria

18-year-old Roy Atkins was accidentally shot and killed on Oct. 14 after a gun was discharged as a friend was cleaning it. He attended Paradise Valley Community College and worked two jobs to support his family. His parents, Destinee and Roy Jr. held a car wash near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road to help raise money for funeral costs.
