2024 Election: DNC security preps are being finalized

Police in Chicago are gearing up for a busy week as the Democratic National Convention is just days away, bringing in high-profile visitors and thousands of protesters. Police are focused on security and handling large protests expected throughout the week. The Chicago Police Department says officers have been training with state and federal counterparts for over a year. Hundreds of police officers will also be traveling to Chicago from surrounding states to help out.
