Light rail extension opening on Jan. 27

The new northwest extension of the light rail is slated to open next year. Valley Metro is extending the light rail from 19th Avenue and Dunlap. Trains will run north on 25th Avenue, then west on Mountain View Road, connecting to the Metrocenter area.
