SRP rate hike takes effect today

Starting on Nov. 1, customers with Salt River Project will see an increase in their power bills, due to changes in a rate that covers the cost of fuel and purchased power agreements. Overall, residential customers are expected to pay an average of about 8% more on their power bills.
