Deadly bear attack: Necropsy shows animal did not have rabies

A 66-year-old man died after being mauled by a black bear in an "exceedingly rare" attack in a community south of Prescott, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. A necropsy performed on the bear showed the animal was between 7 and 10 years old, weighed 365 pounds, had no signs of disease, and did not have rabies.
