Tunnel discovered at Arizona border wall by Mexican state police with use of drones

The use of a drone helped uncover a tunnel that was under construction at the U.S.-Mexico border in San Luis.

Customs and Border Protection, in a joint operation with the Secretariat of Public Security in Sonora, found and closed the tunnel.

The Secretariat of Public Security in San Luis posted about the discovery the day after Christmas.

According to Mexican authorities, this was the third drug tunnel discovered south of Yuma this year.

In 2020, authorities celebrated after finding what they described as the "most sophisticated tunnel in U.S. history."

It was also found in the San Luis area.

In 2018, a tunnel was discovered that went from a home in Mexico to an abandoned KFC restaurant in San Luis.
