Arizona may lose the authority to oversee its own workplace safety program

OSHA is threatening to take the first step in revoking the program due to what it calls a "pattern of ignoring federal directives" for COVID-19 protection and other issues. The agency says it will publish a notice reconsidering Arizona's approval of the program which opens up a 35-day public comment period. Governor Doug Ducey has previously called talk of revoking the program a "political stunt."
