Allister Adel: Board of supervisors hold meeting on Maricopa County attorney

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors met behind closed doors on Feb. 22 to discuss the ongoing controversy surrounding county attorney Allister Adel. The board could decide if they want to begin action to remove Adel from office. Last week, five top county prosecutors wrote a letter asking for Adel's resignation, accusing her of being impaired on the job and creating a toxic work environment. Adel has battled alcohol abuse and admitted to spending time at a California rehab facility.
