U.S. Armed Forces facing historic decline in military recruits

In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Undersecretaries from the Army, Air Force and Navy spoke of a new battle they are facing, in the form of recruitment challenges. Military leaders say their challenge to recruit has been made tougher by an increase in civilian opportunities, topped by a decrease in interest among Americans.
