Woman flips Mercedes-Benz SUV onto side during test drive at Va. dealership
ARLINGTON, Va. - A woman test driving a new vehicle at a Mercedes-Benz dealership ended up crashing it in the dealership's parking lot Friday morning.
The accident happened at around 11:30 a.m. at the dealership located on N. Glebe Road in Ballston.
Arlington County police said the female driver was driving at a high rate of speed and crashed into four parked vehicles, including her own SUV, parked in the parking lot. The Mercedes-Benz GLE350 she was operating then rolled onto its side after the collision.
According to ARLnow.com, the driver may have mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake before the crashed occurred. There were four people inside the vehicle during the test drive.
The vehicle that the woman was driving is priced at around $60,000.
Police and the fire department responded to the crash and evaluated the sales consultant who was in the test drive vehicle. There were no serious injuries, the fire department said.
