Violent mugging captured on camera
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - A man placed a woman in a choke hold before throwing her to the ground, hitting her head against a car in Brooklyn. The violent mugging was captured on security cameras.
It happened on Aug. 8 at about 11:40 p.m. near Bergen Street and Schenectady Avenue in Crown Heights.
The attacker then pins her to the ground before grabbing her backpack and walking away.
She suffered cuts and bruises.
The suspect is described by police as black with a beard. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and red sneakers.
