Just a few weeks ago, FOX 10 Phoenix reported on young valley mother who died from flu-like symptoms.
On Friday, another family said the same thing happened to their loved one. Both were healthy, and both were rarely sick.
Elizabeth Boyd died Wednesday, after just two days of coming down with flu-like symptoms. Her husband, Steve, said she was a healthy 44-year-old mother of six children.
Meanwhile, the family is trying to come to terms with the sudden loss.
Steve said he took Elizabeth to the hospital Monday morning, where she was diagnosed with pneumonia. From there, it went downhill while she remained at the hospital. The family believes it may be the same strain of pneumonia that took the life of a 20-year-old mother of two, who died a little over two weeks ago.
The family said Elizabeth did get a flu shot early last week.
FOX 10's Courtney Griffin reports.
