Tucson police searching for driver who fled from fatal crash
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Tucson say they're still searching for a driver who fled the scene of a fatal car crash.
They say a speeding vehicle hit a utility pole around 4 a.m. Sunday in the midtown area and was ripped in half.
Police say the front half of the car went through a chain-link fence and back half was about 20 feet away still in the roadway.
They say 29-year-old Davis Ochoa-Borquez was a passenger in the vehicle and was ejected.
He was declared dead at the scene.
Police say another passenger survived the crash, but the unidentified driver fled the scene and hasn't been found yet.
