TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Marana have identified a motorcyclist killed after his vehicle crashed into a median.
Marana police say 43-year-old Robert Charles Looney, of Tucson, died from the injuries he suffered in the accident Saturday.
According to detectives, Looney was riding around 1:30 a.m. with his wife as a passenger on Twin Peaks Road when he failed to negotiate a curve.
His wife was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor. Firefighters say neither was wearing a helmet.
