KOYLTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - Authorities in the upper thumb area are investigating a case of ethnic intimidation.
Deputy Steve Roland with the Tuscola County Sheriff's Office says a man of Mexican descent woke up this weekend and found boxes on his driveway that were spray painted with phrases such as "Donald Trump", "Take Back America" and "Mexicans suck."
The man also found a doll made of balloons hanging nearby.
The sheriff's office says this is a crime and will not be tolerated.
The man's home is located in Koylton Township, which is about 85 miles north of Detroit.
Many cases of ethnic intimidation have been reported all over the country after Donald Trump became president-elect. Throughout his campaign, he called for "building a wall" along the U.S.-Mexico border, and for a ban on Muslims entering the country.
