MESA, Ariz. - A vehicle crashed into a wall in a Mesa neighborhood on Wednesday, knocking down power lines and igniting a small fire.
The crash happened at around 9 a.m. on June 28 near Alma School and Guadalupe.
One man was pulled from the wreckage, Mesa Fire and Medical said. The man was taken to a hospital in serious, but stable condition.
SkyFOX over the scene showed a lawnmower that was being carried on the truck's flatbed flipped over.
Nearby office workers who heard the collision say they jumped into action to try and put out the fire.
"So myself and a few other people from the local businesses right here grabbed a fire extinguisher, but unfortunately the fire was too big, so we really couldn't get the fire put out," a witness said. "Then, the truck started to blow up even more, so we kinda had to step away and wait for emergency services."

FOX 10's Brian Webb has the latest after a cascade of events at Alma School and Guadalupe led to power outages and crashes on June 28.
About 1,800 people were temporarily without power in the area, according to SRP.
"Crews are on the scene working with SRP to secure the down powerlines," Mesa Fire and Medical spokeswoman Marrisa Ramirez-Ramos said.
