Towards the end of the chase, the car was seen crashing through two gates that were located on a property, and coming to a stop soon afterwards, after crashing into a fissure. The suspect and another person were seen running away from the car, and sharing what appears to be a kiss and embrace before surrendering to officers.
According to Mesa Police, Pinal County Sheriff's Office units later detained the suspects. Perkins, according to court documents, suffered hand injuries that were sustained prior to law enforcement contact. Flores, meanwhile, suffered facial injuries, and was taken to a hospital for surgery.
