Some agencies are going broke due to fewer speeding tickets and fines

Police officers around the country are writing fewer speeding tickets, so that's good news, right?

Well, not if you're one of the agencies that depend on the money generated from those speeding fines to keep you running.

The Nevada Supreme Court says it will be broke by May 1st because they don't have enough cash to operate due to fewer fines.

One reason for the drop in tickets: cities relying on speed cameras. Drivers know where they are, so they drive the speed limit around the cameras.

Whatever the reason, governments are having to adjust their budgets.
