Sky Harbor Airport recognized for good dining choices

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - When you think of where to have a good meal, you probably don't think of the airport, but that's all changing. Gone are the days of fast food and food courts. Sky Harbor Airport is becoming a dining destination. In fact, the airport was just nationally recognized for having good food.

Reward Expert Inc. ranked Phoenix Sky Harbor second for having the best food on its 2017 Airport Dining Scorecard report. The site looked at the 20 most trafficked airports in the country for the ranking. Satisfaction, price, and selection were all considered.

One of the most popular restaurants in Phoenix and in the airport was Chelsea's Kitchen. Starla Weber loved the convenience of being able to sit down and enjoy a meal.

"It was delicious. I had the kale quinoa salad. It was really good.. husband had a cheeseburger with French fries," she said.

Some just got a quick snack, while others just passing through loved a sweet treat. Overall, everyone we spoke to said they love the food and wide variety of options at Sky Harbor and next time, they will for sure come back hungry.
