Sheriffs: Missing Flagstaff woman found safe
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Sheriffs say a missing Flagstaff woman has been found safe after her car was found near Fossil Creek.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Tristeana "TJ" Johnson was last seen on Sunday when forest service volunteers made contact with her and two other vehicle that had been stuck in the mud on Fossil Creek Road, which is closed due to mud and weather conditions.
Authorities say Johnson stayed with the two other vehicles until they freed themselves from the mud and left the area.
Johnson's 1999 green Toyota Rav4 was found on Wednesday in the Fossil Creek area.
On Thursday, sheriffs located Johnson who got a ride out of the Fossil Creek area after her car was stuck in the mud.
Johnson has been staying in Phoenix and did not have her cellphone.
