Semi-truck hits fire hydrant, causes massive flooding
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A semi-truck hit a fire hydrant and caused massive flooding in a Phoenix neighborhood on Wednesday.
Stephanie Bracken, a spokeswoman with the Phoenix Water Department, says the semi-truck hit the fire hydrant at about 6:30 a.m., which caused it to break and flood the road near 21st Avenue and McDowell Road.
Crews worked for several hours to shut off the water from the broken fire hydrant.
McDowell Road remains restricted due to the flooding. Please avoid the area.
