PHOENIX - A woman was killed in a rollover crash in central Phoenix overnight on Thursday, police said.
The collision happened near 7th Avenue and Grant Street and involved two vehicles.
Officers responded to the scene and found 32-year-old Katherine Adkins with serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
Investigators say Adkins was a passenger in a truck that was heading southbound on 7th Avenue when it was hit by a car.
"This caused the truck to rollover [sic] and Adkins to be ejected," police said.
The driver of the truck fled the scene after the crash and has not been found.
A woman behind the wheel of the car that hit the truck drove off from the scene but was later found.
Impairment is believed to be a factor in the crash.
No other details were released.
