RECALL ALERT: burn dangers from leaking iPhone cases prompt recall

Thousands of iPhone cases are being recalled, after owners said the cases left them with burns, after they started leaking.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Liquid Glitter cases made by Mix Bin is being recalled. The case came in different colors and designs, and were sold at several stores, including Nordstrom, Victoria's Secret, and Amazon.

According to the CPSC website for the recall, there have been 24 reports worldwide of skin irritation or chemical burns, including 19 in the United States. One consumer, according to the website, reported permanent scarring from a chemical burn.

Some of the cases reportedly began to leak liquid and glitter, which caused skin irritations and burns. Refunds will be available for those who purchased the cases in question.
