Shock and sadness were felt throughout Combs High School in Queen Creek where Preston Lord was a student.
His aunt, Melissa Lord, says Preston was assaulted at a Halloween party Saturday night in Queen Creek. She says his heart stopped and other teens were able to perform CPR and restart his heart.
However, she says Preston passed away Monday afternoon at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
She says he had a severe brain injury.
The department is focusing on an area within 1/4 mile of the party and is asking for surveillance video from doorbell cameras.
