PHOENIX - Arizona State Senator John Kavanagh has introduced a bill that bill that would prohibit drivers from having animals on their laps behind the wheel.
Under Senate Bill 1116, people would not be allowed to drive vehicles with animals on their laps.
Anyone caught violating the law could face a civil penalty of $100.
The proposed legislation defines such animals as a mammal, bird, reptile or amphibian.
