PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Phoenix Police detectives are still looking for clues in the murder of a 71-year-old Lyft driver.

Harry Treadwell's car had crashed after he was shot near 32nd Street and Baseline. At 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a bullet shot from outside Treadwell's car struck and killed him.

Sunday was Treadwell's 52nd wedding anniversary, and he had spoken to his wife Fran after midnight. Fran says they wished each other happy anniversary, but at 4:30 a.m., Fran's her son woke her up with the horrible news.

"The first 911 call that came through was about 12:35 [a.m.]," said Fran. "So less than five minutes after we talked, this happened. You don't think God had something to do with that? I think he did. He let us talk one last time, and tell each other we love each other.

According to police, Treadwell's car traveled several feet before crashing. Meanwhile, the Treadwells were living on social security, and a friend is helping to raise money for cremation and other expenses.
