Police search for suspect who stole from Dollar General
PHOENIX - Police are searching for a suspect who stole merchandise from a Dollar General store in west Phoenix.
According to Sgt. James Rothschild with Silent Witness, the suspect walked into Dollar General and west McDowell Road on Monday, May 2nd, at 9:15am. Police say the suspect asked about lighters, then grabbed a handful of them. When the clerk tried to stop the suspect, he slapped the clerk's hand away and took off in a white Chevy.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 22 years old, five feet eight inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of a rosary on his neck. The suspect may have been driving a 2004 white Chevy pickup with partial Arizona license plate BTB 489.
