Police: Person shot when masked intruders break into Tempe home

TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say a person was shot when masked intruders broke into a Tempe home early Thursday morning.

According to the Tempe Police Department, the intruders broke into a home near the U.S. 60 and Rural Road and one of the suspects shot a person inside the home.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the masked suspects left the home in an unknown direction and are still on the loose.

It is unknown if anything was taken from the home.
