Police: Man shot, killed at Phoenix home

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police say a man was shot and killed in Phoenix early Thursday morning.

Phoenix police say the victim was found with an apparent gunshot wound when officers responded to a burglary call at a home near 20th Street and Osborn just after 2 a.m.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Investigators say the victim's roommate dialed 9-1-1 after hearing the victim knocking at his door and telling him to dial 9-1-1. While on the phone with the 9-1-1 operator, the roommate heard a gunshot and found the victim injured.
