Police arrest motorcyclist following high speed chase

A motorcyclist is in police custody after he led Arizona Highway Patrol Officers on a pursuit through the east valley.

Officers tried to stop the motorcyclist before 9 Friday evening.

A spokesperson for the Mesa Police Department told FOX 10 that the motorcyclist did not yield to the officer and then took off at high speed.

SkyFox video showed the motorcyclist traveling at high speeds, on the US 60 and on surface streets in Mesa.

Eventually the motorcyclist stopped at a Shell Station near Stapley and Southern, took off his helmet, and waited for officers to arrive.

He was taken into custody, no word about what charges he may face.
