Phoenix police: 15-year-old hit by car that ran red light
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police say a 15-year-old teen has been hospitalized with very serious injuries after he was hit by a car that ran a red light in south Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the teen was crossing a marked crosswalk near 39th Avenue and Baseline Road when he was hit by a vehicle that ran a red light.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital with very serious injuries, according to police. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the crash.
Police say impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash at this time.
