TEMPE, Ariz. - Police say the body of a man who jumped into Tempe Town Lake early Tuesday morning has been recovered.
According to Tempe Police, officers and firefighters responded to the lake for reports of a possible drowning at 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 21.
Police learned an 18-year-old man, identified as Jacobi Walker, was at the lake with friends. He entered the water on his own and never resurfaced.
His body was recovered at 1:15 a.m. by firefighters.
"There are no signs of foul play and no indication that drugs or alcohol are a factor in this terrible accident. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of Jacobi Walker. No further information is available," stated Detective Natalie Barela.
