GLENDALE, Ariz. - Police are investigating a shooting after a woman was shot in the parking lot of a Glendale gas station.
According to police, the shooting happened just after 11 a.m. on Oct. 25 near 51st and Olive Avenues.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim who had been shot. She was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say prior to the shooting, a white four-door car pulled into the parking lot and someone got out of the car and spoke with another person who was inside a truck. The white car drove away, turned around, and as it drove back by the truck, a man shot at the truck, hitting the victim who was nearby.
"We are unsure what the relationship is with the individual at this time, but it may be possible they were known to each other," police said in a statement.
The drivers of the white car and truck left the scene after the shooting.
Police say it's unknown if the victim knew the people who were in the truck.
The victim's identity has not been released.
