1 killed in multi-vehicle crash on Grand Avenue in Glendale

A deadly crash shut down Grand Avenue in Glendale after a driver swerved into oncoming traffic and hit three other vehicles.

A woman is dead and a motorcyclist is in critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash in Glendale on March 2.

According to Glendale Police, the crash happened just before 7 a.m. when a Nissan Altima that was heading northwest on Grand Avenue near Myrtle Avenue crashed into a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Two other vehicles became involved in the collision – a motorcycle and a Chevy Equinox.

A woman riding in the backseat of the Altima was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Four other people who were involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Speed and impairment are being investigated.

Grand Avenue was closed in both directions at Myrtle Avenue.
