MESA, Ariz. - Mesa Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting on Monday afternoon that left a man dead.
The shooting happened at 1:20 p.m. on Dec. 11 near Stapley Drive and Brown Road. When officers got to the scene, they found 22-year-old Deazo Seghi sitting in the driver's seat inside a parked car. Seghi had been shot multiple times and was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Witnesses described the suspect to police, and officers found a man matching the suspect's description nearby. The man, 29-year-old Tyler McGuire, was detained. Police say a gun was found on him, and he invoked his right to an attorney and was not questioned.
