Man accused of selling drugs at a Glendale convenience store

PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man has been arrested for allegedly selling marijuana out of his convenience store in Glendale.

Phoenix police announced Thursday that 43-year-old Bejar Sadiq Abdulaziz was booked into jail on numerous felony charges, including selling narcotic drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, conducting an illegal enterprise and money laundering.

They say a warrant was served at Azad Market in Glendale, where investigators seized several pounds of synthetic marijuana and numerous cannabis cartridges for electronic cigarettes.

Court documents show undercover police officers bought multiple marijuana cartridges inside the market this year between March and June, leading to Abdulaziz's arrest.

Police say the drug-related charges are being submitted to the Arizona Attorney General's office as part of a larger investigation.
